Title: Are You Comfortable in my Skin?

About The Series:
On my travels in China I was fascinated with the Chinese zodiac animals and how they’re featured in everyone’s imagination. I was also struck by the many possibilities for interaction and collaboration between East and West.

I collaborated with printmaking organizations and artists from China, Australia, Europe and North America to create a twelve-year annual exhibition and exchange focused on the Chinese zodiac animals.

This series consists of original alumigraph and linocut prints from the twelve-year collaboration. Each year I integrated a Chinese zodiac animal layered with personal experience, memory and contemporary concerns to create this series of images.

About This Work:
In the year of the Tiger I focused on this endangered species and how humans have killed the beautiful tigers and displayed or repurposed its skins as fashion. I am glad that this practice has diminished and more people have become aware of how important it is to protect the many animals who coexist with us on this planet.

These images are available as digital prints in two sizes. They come in an acid free mat ready for framing.
