Archival Ink Jet Digital Prints
Archival ink Jet Digital Prints are created on an iPad using Procreate - a program with a digital drawing pen. All the drawing is done on an iPad screen. The program offers a variety of virtual tools including pencils, pens, charcoal, oil and acrylic brushes, airbrushes, and many more. You can make your own brushes or buy specifically made custom brushes from other artists.
Sometimes it can take hours and hours to create a drawing. It is very meditative and addictive. You can work in layers adding one layer of marks after another erasing what is on one layer while not touching the drawing on another layer. The Procreate program is very extensive with so much potential for exploration.
I began recently using this way of creating to make it easier to draw while traveling. I also love that it saves trees by not using paper.
Packaging:
I care about how my art practice impacts the environment. I'm pleased to say that all the packaging for my smaller prints (backing, protective sleeves, etc.) are all recyclable, and are also made from recycled materials. I source them from Canadian companies, and I also use a Canadian printing shop to produce them. I really truly care about producing quality products to share with you.
